So, we know the characters are CGI, not puppets. BUT THE WORLD IS REAL. Masters of special effects, New Zealand’s Weta Workshop, are responsible for the visual side of Thunderbirds Are Go! and they decided to go for a mix of physical sets and computer effects.  Apparently on Tracy Island alone there are 3000 minature trees. The buildings and furniture appear to have a retro-modern design spin which is still well in keeping with the original 1960s aesthetic. And finally, ITV has released the official teaser trailer for Thunderbirds Are Go! It’s scheduled to begin broadcast in the UK on April 4th, 2015. Here it is! Looks exciting.
